After Asaria moved in with me and she did some decorating (can’t say redecorating since I never really did much with it to begin with), my ‘house’ in SL finally felt more like a home. I realized, though, there was still plenty of room on my land and after talking it over with Asaria and then Felanis, decided to invite Ipenda and Felanis to live with us. After mulling over some ideas, as well as prim limits, the idea was brought up to build a house from scratch with prim savings in mind, as well as a layout that would better fit our needs. So, I deleted the prefab from the parcel and gave Asaria and Felanis free reign to do what they liked. After going through some design revisions and taking a break for Theo and David’s wedding rehearsal, Sar and Fel came back with a plan. I left them to the structural work and went off to build a skybox (building geometric shapes are pretty much the limit to my building abilities in second life). When I was nearing completion, I went back down to the ground and lo and behold, the house was taking shape. It wasn’t textured and they were still working on some interior walls, but the layout was definitely coming along. So, I sat around and watched as the two masters completed the house and I must say I’m impressed what the two partners in crime can accomplish when they put their minds to working together!
It was fairly late by the time it was finished, so I only took one aerial shot of it so far, but maybe I’ll take some interior shots as well as time permits. The layout is great… two bedrooms, one on either side of the house with large common area in the center where we put some places to sit and a large tv for streaming media. This house fits our needs way better than the prefab I had and it uses a good 70 or so less prims to boot (I forget exactly how many prims my old house was). Way to go sweetie and sis! I’m looking forward to spending quality time with friends and second life family in our new home.
